About NECA

NECA is the premier construction industry trade association servicing the needs of the unionized electrical construction and Voice-Data-Video (VDV) industries. It is widely acknowledged for its outstanding labor relations services and its innovative educational and research programs. In addition, it has developed into a force on the national political scene representing the interests of IBEW-signatory electrical construction and VDV contractors, subcontractors in general and the construction industry as a whole in the halls of Congress and the White House. It is also known for its annual trade show which brings contractors and construction industry professionals together with equipment and service providers in order to create an educational and networking event that is without peer.

At the local level, whether providing labor relations support to IBEW–signatory contractors, serving the industry through its educational programming or advocating on its behalf on issues of importance in Trenton, NECA’s Northern New Jersey Chapter exemplifies the pride of excellence and innovative spirit that characterizes the national organization.

The strength of the Chapter is derived from its membership which is comprised of the finest contractors the industry has to offer. Though members range from small family-owned shops to large, publicly-traded firms and every size in between, they all share a desire to participate in the improvement of their industry for the benefit of all its stakeholders including the contractors, the workers, allied business and most importantly, for the customers who rely on their services. NECA contractors can be found working in every niche of the electrical construction and voice-data-video industries. Working with their IBEW partners, they have the tools, expertise and drive to provide the finest quality finished product for customers of all types. As a result, the NECA-label has come to exemplify quality workmanship, the highest safety standards, a well-trained knowledgeable, professional union workforce, and state of the art equipment representing the latest in industry technology.
